PACG Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions related to the Prescott Area Commercial Group, its mission and membership. You are invited to join PACG in order to enjoy the benefits of membership.

Q1: What is the Prescott Area Commercial Group (PACG) and when was it formed?

Answer: The Prescott Area Commercial Group “PACG” was formed in late 2008 and officially started on January 1, 2009. The objectives of “PACG” is to promote our members success as a whole through marketing, networking and education. We are a “business league” and a real estate commercial group whose members are interested in improving the business conditions in the Central and Northern Arizona real estate market. Through our monthly educational speakers and presentations, it is our goal to promote higher business standards.


Q2: What are the main benefits of PACG Membership?
A2: PACG exists to enhance its Member’s success. PACG does this through training, networking and of course, this website and blog, which provides Members with tools and other growth opportunities.


Q3: Who operates PACG and how can I get involved?
A3: PACG is operated as a 501(c)6 non-profit Corporation. As such it is operated by an elected Board of Directors with a President, Vice President, Secretary Treasurer and additional Directors. Elections are held each year and membership participation is always sought.


Q4: What types of training does PACG offer its Members?
A4: Each month PACG conducts and marketing, networking and training meeting. During these meetings training in commercial leasing, sales, market conditions, commercial analysis and property performance, among a few. Guest speakers are also a regular part of the training program. Finally, PACG is now engaging in online workshops that allow Members to log in and participate in web-based training.


Q5: Can non real estate people and businesses be PACG Members?
A5: Yes. In fact, many service providers such as mortgage lenders, title and escrow companies, inspection services, appraisal services and many others are a part of our Membership as Affiliates. Membership in PACG is paid on an annual basis and the PACG website offers additional advertising for a nominal fee.


Q6: How do I learn to post commercial properties in the PACG web site?
A6: Members are allowed to post blogs about commercial real estate and of course, promote their properties through the site with blog posts, photos, links, videos, podcasts and more. To find out how to post your properties email PACG. Semi-regular online lessons are provided to keep Member’s active in the blog.


Q7: What are the advertising guidelines for the site?
A7: PACG Members and Affiliates are allowed to advertise in the PACG site for a small annualy fee. The ad will link to an email address, website or provide a phone number for contact. PACG creates the ad at no additional cost. For more information see the Advertising Guidelines.


Q8: Does PACG sponsor additional commercial real estate training workshops?
A8: Yes, occasionally, PACG will host or sponsor training workshops that are online and at a specified meeting location. These workshops are designed to provide Members and non-members with commercial real estate expertise. To find out what training sessions are available, see the PACG Calendar.


Q9: Why does PACG provide “Featured Podcasts” in the web site and who produces these podcasts?
A9: PACG Featured Podcasts provide Members with snippets of information related to their commercial real estate career. The podcasts give Members ideas, tips and important information designed to enhance their expertise. The PACG Featured Podcasts are under the direction of the Board of Directors.


Q10: Is PACG affiliated with any real estate company or franchise brand?
A10: No. PACG is an unaffiliated organization that serves the interests of its Members, whether independent or branded.
